Welcome to the Fontaine à mots website
The association in brief
Located in Fontenay-sous-Bois, the association brings together around forty volunteers serving approximately 200 learners. It contributes to the integration of non-French-speaking foreigners through oral and written French language instruction, focusing on three key areas:
- a comprehensive and structured language offering,
- an approach to French society and its culture,
- easier access to justice.
Opening hours
The association is closed for the duration of the summer holidays.
The secretariat of the association is closed until August 23 inclusive.
It will reopen on Monday, August 24, 2026 at the following times: Monday to Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Secretariat closed in the afternoons, on weekends and during school holidays.
Become a volunteer
All willing hands are welcome to offer the widest possible range of our services to non-French-speaking adults (courses by level, during the day and in the evening, individual support for TCF or DELF exam preparation, etc.)

A message from the President:
The Fontaine à Mots association continues its French as a Foreign Language (FLE) activities serving non-French-speaking foreigners.
The 2025-2026 school year went well, with more than 215 registered students and good participation in the various courses.
For the 2026-2027 school year, registration will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026, and classes will resume, in principle, on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Those wishing to obtain information or attend one or more of our courses should contact the association's secretariat (during the hours indicated opposite or via the attached form) to complete the registration formalities.
Don't hesitate to contact us quickly to benefit from the maximum number of class hours, as demand is always high and the number of places is limited.
It is reminded that if any registered learners need help from the association with forms to fill out, advice or administrative formalities to complete, they can call its President Frédéric BUFFIN at 06 16 91 37 68.
